13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, mauve blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, brunette human hair hand-tied wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose E 5 J (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1885. Value Points: beautiful face with lovely bisque, original body and body finish, wearing fine burgundy wool mariner costume, undergarments, leather sailor cap labeled "Mignon" in gilt, and with black leather shoes with brown silk rosettes impressed "5 E.J. Depose".
