18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, neck articulation allowing the head to lean side to side and tilt forward as well as swivel, very plump cheeks, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented pale lips, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden poupee body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and knees, and with extra pivot articulation at upper arms and upper legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1870. Value Points: very expressive beautiful face, wonderful wooden body with elaborate Dehors neck articulation.
