6" (15 cm.) Waist-up porcelain half-doll depicting aristocratic 18th century lady with elaborately-arranged coiffure having blue ribbon, bow and feathers encircling the topknot, sculpted costume with ruffles around her low bodice and blue decorative ribbons on dress front, holding a large manuscript in her arms. Marks: 925. Generally excellent, one small chip at edge of manuscript. Germany, circa 1910.
