20" (51 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue/grey glass enamel inset eyes with darker grey iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, aquiline-shaped nose, closed mouth, pale accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French wooden poupee body with very shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and knees, and with pivot jointing at upper arms and legs, separately-defined fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5 (head and shoulder). Comments: Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1870. Value Points: finest delicately-complexioned bisque poupee has all-wooden body with deluxe articulations, and is wearing original patterned blue cotton gown.
