10" (25 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, aquiline nose, closed mouth with slightly-upturned lip corners in gentle smile, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with square cut collarette, shapely torso and legs, gusset-jointed hips, stitched and separated fingers, (included is very frail partial antique costume). Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3/0 (head and shoulders) B (shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1872, his deposed smiling model, believed to be inspired by the Empress Eugenie. Value Points: dainty poupee in very rare tiny size, very sturdy original body, finest bisque and painting.
