19" (48 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of lady with oval face and elongated throat, brown sculpted hair waved softly from face, with feathered detail around the forehead, ringlet curls at the back, and a braided coronet at the crown topped by a gilded black beaded comb, pierced ears, painted facial features, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth with center accent line, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent, one ear hole pierced through, hands restored. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: rarity features include brown hair with elaborate sculpting enhanced by decorative glaze, with sculpted beaded hair comb, wonderful antique costume.
