Description
10" (25 cm.) Bisque head with flattened solid dome, elongated full cheeks, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, single stroke brows, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 183 (193?). Comments: Sonneberg, mystery maker, circa 1885. Value Points: most appealing early closed mouth doll with elaborate original folklore costume, rare petite size.
