17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, brown glass sleep eyes, painted features, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, auburn mohair wig, kid gusset-jointed body with bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 6 H 1009 dep St. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: the well-modeled doll wears wonderful original Scottish costume of red and black checkered wool and with black velvet vest, jacket and beret.
