10" (25 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated face, small blue glass enamel eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and fringed brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, cork pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body, lovely antique costume comprising dress, undergarments, stockings, leather shoes, and lace and frou-frou ribbon bonnet. Condition: small chip at center forehead crown extends into faint hairline to nose, one baby finger missing. Marks: Sie G 3/0 (head) Le Petit Parisien (body). Comments: Jules Steiner, his Series G bebe, circa 1882. Value Points: very rare model by the firm with gorgeous face and painting, original body and body finish, lovely costume and presence in charming petite size. Ex-collection of Evelyn Ackerman.
