Description
14" (36 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted brown short boyish hair with defined forelock curls, narrow blue glass inset eyes, painted brown curly lashes, short stroke brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open, with shaded lips, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish albeit scuffed. Marks: SFBJ 226 Paris 4. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value Points: especially fine sculpting for this smaller size, with fine quality of bisque and painting, antique schoolboy costume.
