18" (46 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with elongated face, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, slightly-parted lips in smiling expression, four porcelain teeth, very full cheeks, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, kid gusset-jointed body, bisque forearms, nicely costumed as fashionable lady. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 8 H 970. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: rare model with very distinctive smiling expression enhanced by full lips, impressed dimples, lovely quality of bisque.
