Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with oval-shaped face, brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque forearms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, chip at bottom of right ear lobe. Marks: S 8 H. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: the early closed mouth doll has fine bisque, wonderful wig, and is wearing antique brown silk costume, undergarments, leather shoes.
