Bisque socket head, very large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly-painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined and richly-shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde hip-length mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with early straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 1. Comments: Emile Jumeau, 1886, earliest period tete model with original straight-wrist body. Value Points: of sublime beauty and rarity, the petite 9" size 1 bebe with superb original Jumeau wig is wearing original Jumeau muslin chemise dress, Jumeau earrings, Jumeau knit stockings and signed Jumeau black leather shoes, size 1, and with a fancy gilded miniature posy holder with wax orange blossoms and woven fancy bonnet.
