4 1/2" (11 cm.) Waist-up figure of lady turned sideways and bearing a heavily-laden tray of fruit in her outstretched arms, with brown sculpted hair in coiled chignon capped by a yellow coronet with beaded detail, and sculpted costume including neck shawl. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1915, Titian's 16th-century painting formerly believed to be a portrait of his daughter, Lavinia, and now known as "Girl with Platter of Fruit", was the inspiration for this artistic work, and includes details such as gold beaded necklace and gold hair ornament at her center forehead. Note the variation of head structure from #59 in this catalog.
