23" (58 cm.) Pink-tinted bisque shoulder head, light brown painted boyish hair with forelock detail, sculpted ears, painted facial features, deeply set eye sockets with large black pupils, pronounced white eye dots, thick black upper eyeliner, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with downcast pouting expression, gleaming accent line between the lips, commercial muslin body with stitch jointing, bisque lower arms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (sunburst) Germany 6688. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910. Value Points: very fine quality of bisque enhances the pouting expression on the chubby-chin boy, especially fine intaglio detail of eyes.
