17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted hair, complexion and facial features, short curly brown hair with wavy forelock, brown eyes, white eye dots, black upper eyeliner, brown eye shadow, closed mouth in downcast pouting expression, stitch jointing at shoulders, disc-jointed legs, separately stitched thumbs, nice costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Germany Kathe Kruse 3373. Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1915. Value Points: early model with especially well-defined facial planes, beautiful painting of hair and eyes.
