14" (36 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, brown glass inset eyes, modeled eyelids, brown painted lashes, brushstroked brows with feathering, shaded nostrils, open mouth with shaded lips, four porcelain teeth, sculpted hair under brown flocked hair, French composition body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, flocked hair worn at sides. Marks: SFBJ 237 Paris 4. Comments: SFBJ, from their art character series, circa 1912, the model appeared in their catalog of that year described as "Petit Ecolier" (young schoolboy). Value Points: very fine quality of luminous bisque, original body, wearing original brown linen school smock with brown leather belt, school satchel, shoes.
