14" (36 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with black center-part sculpted hair drawn over her ears and captured in a braided chignon at the back of her head, painted facial features, blue eyes, gentle smile on closed mouth, slender kid body with wooden lower limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: outstanding original traditional costume whose details include an embroidered vest, tasseled necklace, silk coiffe over black and white wrapped turban, and unique hand-stitched leather slippers with upturned toes.
