30" (76 cm.) Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, very full modeling of cheeks and chin, brown glass enamel inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with well-defined painted teeth between the shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, Bru gusset-jointed kid body with bisque lower arms and, individually sculpted bisque fingers with well-defined knuckles, beautiful antique costume (additional silk dress included), undergarments, Bru leather shoes signed "B", fine antique bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bte SGDG (forehead) (circle/dot symbol at back of head). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, the model known as "circle/dot", this being the earliest brevete version of that model, circa 1880. Value Points: superbly sculpted bebe of which this may be the largest size known to exist, having outstanding definition of facial features, enhanced by choicest bisque, perfect bisque hands, rare painted teeth.
