19th Century Tableau "Village Scene" with Mechanical Clock and Music Box

A well-detailed oil on canvas depicts a village scene with manor home, mountains at sunset in the background, tranquil harbor setting with two boats in the distance, village roof tops, and a church tower with actual working clock. Along the pathway leading to the village are five people including a child. The painting and clock and music mechanisms are enclosed within a shadowbox with an ornate gold leaf frame. When wound, two musical tunes and angelus plays. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: mid-1800s, circa 1865, the maker is unknown. Value Points: a tranquil scene is beautifully-depicted with historical facets including the walled village, the church set upon the hillside, and the animated pose of villagers and dog.
