Description
8 1/2" (22 cm.) Heavy stoneware stein has all-around raised scenes of Brownie characters frolicking in the forest, with Chinaman, Uncle Sam, The Dude and more, and a seated figure of the Policeman atop the pewter-edged lid. The stein is decorated in shades of brown and green. Marked "0130 Made in Germany". Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1895, from designs inspired by Palmer Cox illustrations.
