10" (25 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head with brown sculpted hair drawn away from her face into a coiled loose bun at the back and with dainty forehead curls, with sculpted diadem in red and gilt trim, generously-modeled bosom, enamel eyes, mouth modeled as though open with defined teeth and tongue, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, expressive fingers, bare feet, wearing early silk low-bodice gown, green silk coat with yellow silk lining, necklace. Excellent condition, finish worn on legs. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, rarity factors on the beautiful lady include sculpted diadem and bosom.
