Description
6 1/2" (17 cm.) Porcelain full figure of young child posed upon self-base with gilt tasseled border, flowing brown hair captured beneath a lavender Charlotte cap with yellow ribbons which match the yellow ribbon at her throat, sculpted costume with transfer flower print pinafore having three rows of rose ruffles, pink shoes, with extended arms, each holding a pot filled with Dresden flowers, and with a purple sack at the side with still more flowers. The costume decoration continues around the back with open pinafore. Marks: (blue bishop staff stamp) 4836 (incised). Excellent condition. Germany, Dressel & Kister, circa 1911.
