11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes and slightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full outlined lips, impressed cheek dimples, auburn mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 141 1. Comments: Hertel & Schwab, circa 1915. Value Points: rare glass-eyed art character in appealing cabinet size, with impressed cheek dimples, original body and body finish, antique costume, bonnet and shoes, and carrying her own little mohair squirrel with acorn by Steiff.
