Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, very deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, slightly-modeled brush-stroked brows with feathered details, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with tiny modeled tongue tip between the shaded and outlined lips, defined philtrum and chin dimple, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, slender kid bebe body with scalloped-edge collarette, kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque forearms with separately-sculpted fingers, Chevrot hinging at thighs, jointed wooden lower legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9 (head and shoulderplate) Bru (shoulderplate). Bebe Bru Bte SGDG...(paper label on torso). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1884. Value Points: superb example of the landmark bebe with exceptional quality of bisque, sculpting and painting, perfect bisque hands, sturdy original body, beautiful antique velvet dress and bonnet, and leather shoes signed "Bru Jne Paris" in oval.
