9" (23 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head of slender-faced lady, brown sculpted hair loosely waved around her face and captured into a topknot, enamel downcast eyes, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and tan ankle boots, wearing silk harem pants and lavishly-trimmed gilt-threaded vest and jacket. Excellent condition, some fabric wear to jacket. Neapolitan, mid-1770s.
