Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) Each is all-bisque with swivel head, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, tiny closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted shoes and stockings. Condition: generally excellent, one has tiny flake on tip of foot. Comments: French, circa 1885. Value Points: the all-original pair are presented in their original paper-lace edged box, each wearing elaborate original silk cavalier costume and wide-brimmed hat. Private collection Louise Hedrick.
