8" (20 cm.) The soft-paste majolica figurine depicts a Brownie standing upon a self-base designed to simulate stony ground, with three barrel jars arranged around him; the Brownie wears an apron over his costume, and his cap has an open top designed for use as candle holder. Incised 3190 from the series. Excellent condition. Circa 1895, inspired by the Palmer Cox Brownie illustrations.
