12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with two alternate faces, each with glass googly eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with impish smile; on one side is brown-eyed googly with painted black hair and sculpted red fez with Turkish symbols; on the other is blue-eyed googly with blonde hair and green military cap with brim; having composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing uniform costume, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Dep Elite D.T 2/0. Comments: Max Handwerck, circa 1915, from his series of modeled helmet googlies. Value Points: rarest of the googly models, with excellent bisque and defined helmets.
