10" (25 cm.) Carved wooden head with bald pate except painted circlet of hair at the back of head with tight twisted curl, carved and painted facial features including incised age lines, muslin body, stitch-jointed hips, wooden arms and bare feet, wearing simple blue cotton tunic and dark blue roll-up pants. Along with painted tin rick-shaw with canvas sunshade and brass lamps. Condition: generally excellent, some discoloration of wood on head. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope Mission, circa 1925. Value Points: very rare model from the mission, with exceptional detail of facial carving, carved bare feet, with rick-shaw accessory.
