Description
12" (30 cm.) Carved wooden head with painted black pate and human hair queue, carved and tinted facial features, cloth body, wooden hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope Mission, circa 1910, this model appeared in the first simple brochure/catalog offered by the mission in that year. Value Points: wonderful face, wearing original royal purple tunic with center medallion and blue lining, over olive green silk tunic, and with white undershirt, rose silk leggings, boots, and black silk cap with tassel.
