8" (20 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump and perfectly-round face, large round blue glass sleep and side-glancing googly eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly upper lashes, one-stroke brows, button-shaped tiny nose, closed mouth with impish smile, double chin, auburn mohair braided wig, five-piece paper mache body with painted socks and brown one-strap shoes, costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach-Koppelsdorf 322-17/0 Germany. Comments: Ernst Heubach, circa 1915. Value Points: rare model that is very seldom found, this exact doll shown in The Collector's Encyclopedia of Dolls by Coleman, page 294, and having wonderful expression, bisque and painting.
