27" (69 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead with very deeply-sculpted hair and facial features, black sculpted hair with a curved braid forming a coronet, and loosely-looped wide braids at the sides which come together at the nape forming into little ringlet curls, defined eye sockets, painted blue downcast eyes, heavy lids, black and red upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, closed mouth, handmade muslin stitch-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10. Comments: Germany, circa 1880. Value Points: especially well-defined sculpting of facial features, rare coiffure.
