7" (18 cm.) l. The cast bronze-framed piano with especially luxurious gilded finish has lyre-shaped foot pedals frame, hinged keyboard to expose keys and a hinged lid with gilt support bar which opens to velvet lined interior and hidden music box (which winds from the underside). The piano is further decorated with three hand-painted enamel porcelain panels including the interior lid of the keyboard. The panels depict romantic scenes in the Louis XVI manner. Excellent condition, music box functions well. Austria, late 19th century, superb workmanship and luxury details of the rare bronze miniature.
