13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass inset eyes, painted dark curly lashes, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with slightly parted lips, dimpled chin, brunette mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, paint rub on neck under costume, some frailty to silk of original costume. Marks: B. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1885, maker unknown. Value Points: pretty child with entrancing large eyes, original body and body finish, wearing original costume of patterned silk with Alencon lace overlay and brown velvet lapels, matching bonnet.
