20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, his early portrait bebe, circa 1878. Value Points: beautiful early bebe has original body in near mint condition, choice bisque, fine antique costume and cream kidskin shoes impressed with full figure of doll.
