26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, thick-stroke brows with feathered detail, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with very full outlined lips, defined tongue tip, dimpled chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, early Sonneberg composition and wooden loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10. Comments: Sonneberg, mystery maker designed to appeal to the French market, circa 1885. Value Points: beautiful doll with dramatic eyes, fine antique wig, original body and body finish, beautiful antique silk costume.
