22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes with darker blue outer pupil rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, arched brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, dimpled blushed chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, antique aqua silk costume, undergarments, lace ruffled bonnet, French aqua kid shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Paris 8. Comments: French, circa 1888, attributed to Henri Delcroix, whose firm existed only a few years. Value Points: bebes by the firm are quite rare to find, notable for their distinctive wide-eyed expression, this example with lovely gleaming complexion.
