9" (23 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head with ebony black complexion, tightly-curled cropped hair, enamel eyes, strong facial features, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, blue stockings and black boots, wearing original silk pageboy costume and carrying double-handled footed brass bowl. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
