Very plump bisque socket head on bisque shoulder plate,with swivel attachment allowing the head to turn side-to-side rather than complete pivot (from Rohmer depose),painted bright blue eyes with enamel glaze at the lower eyelids,black eyeliner,painted lashes,lightly feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with center accent line,original brunette mohair wig,hair-stuffed kid poupee body,kid-over-wooden jointing at knees and upper arms,brass-encircled grommets at center torso with strings for sitting attachment (from Rohmer depose),porcelain arms to above the elbows and below the knees,bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Mme. Rohmer Brevete SGDG Paris (stamp on torso). Comments: Leontine Rohmer,circa 1860. Value Points: the rarity of the doll is rivaled only by its beauty,original condition,and with fine antique costume.
