14" (36 cm.) Solid-domed bisque socket head, painted brown boyish hair, blue glass eyes with deep jewel-like effect, painted lashes and one-stroke brows, slightly-parted lips with row of porcelain teeth, French composition and wooden body jointed at shoulders and hips. Condition: bisque excellent, body original although paint flakes on limbs. Marks: 237 0. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value Points: fine quality of bisque enhanced by rich eyes, wearing original ivory silk faille sailor costume, cap, leather shoes. Included is a pull-toy horse with black canvas hide and saddlery, wheeled wooden base.
