11" (28 cm.) including ears. Of soft brushed velvet in black and white, modeled to represent the French bulldog who was the darling of Parisian salons in the 1920s, the large-sized model has swivel head, wire-framed stand-up ears, amber glass eyes, embroidered nose, freckles, painted mouth, tail, and leather studded collar with bell. Excellent condition. Germany, Steiff, circa 1928.
