Description
28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head, plump facial modeling, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows with decorative glaze, accented nostrils, closed mouth, defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks; Depose Tete Jumeau SGDG 12 (and artist checkmarks on head). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1890. Value Points: the pretty bebe has fine gleaming patina, original body, and is wearing antique mariner costume, undergarments, leather boots (incised 12) with silk rosettes, and tan leather mariner cap with gilt lettering "H.M.S.Star".
