11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, large brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, five-piece paper mache body, antique khaki uniform with belt, medallion and black boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1078 Halbig S&H 1 1/2. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. Value Points: the wide-eyed uniformed boy owns a matched pair of wooden pull-toy horses on wheeled bases, each with painted dappled finish.
