Description
11" (28 cm.) l. 9 1/2" h. Elaborately carved tavern table features thick sturdy legs with scalloped details, a long dovetailed drawer which opens from either side, ogee-shaped table edge, rectangular table with two drop sides which, when raised by simple supports, forms into a circular table top which is decorated with inlay star and geometric designs. The table has previously been displayed at the Talbot County Historical Society Museum of Easton, Maryland. An outstanding and extremely rare early miniature furniture. Circa 1720.
