Solid domed bisque socket head, sculpted hair beneath brown flocked finish, brown glass enamel inset eyes, painted brown curly lashes, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, row of sculpted teeth, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 237 Paris 6. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value Points: well-defined features are enhanced with fine luminous patina, original flocked hair, original body with original finish, wonderful antique mariner costume.
