Description
The sturdy thick leather chaps are emblazoned with the word "Texas" in silver studs on each side and are decorated with leather patch pockets, fringe and tassels. The chaps were presented to Shirley by the Texas Centennial committee, in celebration of the State of Texas Centennial in 1936, making Shirley an honorary officer of the Texas Rangers. Excellent condition. Included with the chaps are vintage photographs of Shirley wearing the chaps, as well as a pair of leather cowboy boots also presented on the same occasion.
