17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features, shaped brown hair with defined forelock curl, painted brown/grey eyes with spiral threading, black and red upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast expression, stitch-jointed shoulders, separately-stitched thumbs, disc-jointing at hips, nicely costumed, original undergarments and woven shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse 5810 (left foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, Type I, circa 1915. Value Points: pristine condition of the early model with deeply defined features and fine painting.
