17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, pronounced black eyeliner, delicately-painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, light brown mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips, knees and elbows. Condition: generally excellent Marks: Aux Reves de L'Enfance, Speciality de Poupees, 40 rue de Richelieu Paris (stamp on torso). Comments: Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1870, the doll was presented at the prestigious Paris doll shop, Aux Reves de L'Enfance. Value Points: beautiful poupee with rare boutique label, wearing original gown, undergarments, shoes, bonnet.
