Description
21" (53 cm.) Carved wooden chair with rich gold leaf finish is very ornately designed with scroll and acanthus leaf carving, elaborate cabriole-style legs, curved arms, and a surmounting crest of two winged cherubs, with later silk and velvet upholstery. Excellent condition, some very minor paint wear. Continental, late 18th/early 19th century. Ex-collection June Ellen Lane.
